A creative product studio for mobile development.

Mobterest Studio is built around the mobile ecosystem using Flutter and Dart. We invest in two things: building and teaching which are useful products that solve real problems for builders, and the architecture and reasoning behind them.

    Why Mobterest Exists

Mobile apps are no longer side projects. They power communities, financial systems, and everyday trust between businesses and their users. We think of them as infrastructure; systems that quietly support real decisions long after the first release.

That belief shapes how we work. Mobile architecture isn't about complexity, it's about clarity: it's often invisible, but its absence is always felt. So we'd rather build fewer things and understand them more deeply than ship fast and rebuild later. Don't you think?

That's the whole studio: build with intention, and teach the reasoning behind it so other builders don't have to learn it the hard way.

    How It Shows Up

Building and teaching show up across four connected tracks.

    Products

Things we've built ourselves: an app for everyday life, a tool for developers, and a book that teaches what we learned building them.

    • Vennie remembers what you hold, from food and bills to documents, and reminds you before anything runs out, falls due or expires. You can join the waitlist for the Android beta.
    • Dartform shows your Dart backend on a canvas, so you can see its models, endpoints and relationships without digging through code.
    • The Secure Flutter Handbook follows a developer through the security mistakes most Flutter apps ship with, across 12 chapters and a checklist to run on your own app.

    Engineering Residency

Where we teach how we build. Project-based Flutter courses built around a real app, then real production problems to prove you can apply what you learned.

    • Project-based Flutter and Dart courses, each one building a real app from start to finish
    • Case Files: a real production bug every week, to diagnose from the evidence before you see the answer
    • A Recall Check with every course, and a free Beginner's Path if you're starting from zero

    courses: "project-based",
    caseFiles: "weekly",

    };

    Resources

Tools and guides for everyday Flutter work, from security checks and AI prompts to your portfolio. They're all free, with no sign-up and no email wall.

    • The Flutter Security Tool takes you through a pre-ship checklist and gives your app a production readiness score.
    • The PROOF Portfolio Builder turns the projects you've shipped into a portfolio built around the engineering decisions you made.
    • AI Full-Stack Dart with Genkit is a free guide that takes you from your first typed AI flow in Dart to a live deployment on Cloud Run.

    Builder Pipeline

Our work for businesses, kept separate from the teaching. We learn how a trade works first, then build the software it's missing.

    • Every product is already built and working, so your business can start using it straight away.
    • You get a one-week trial, so you can see it working before you commit to anything.
    • If you're stuck on a decision, you can book a call with the studio to talk it through.

    Joy, founder of Mobterest Studio

    From Joy

I've spent 13 years building mobile products, and I started Mobterest Studio because the two halves of it kept happening at the same time anyway. I'd build something, then end up explaining the architecture decisions behind it to another developer in Discord or on a call. Eventually it made sense to treat both as the actual product.

If you're building something, or trying to understand how the things you use were built, that's who this studio is for.
